TMJ/TMD Therapy

The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) connects your jaw to your skull. When this joint or the attached muscle becomes strained, it can cause pain, headaches, and difficulty chewing — a condition called TMD (temporomandibular disorder).

Symptoms

  • Jaw pain or stiffness

  • Headaches or migraines

  • Clicking or popping in the jaw

  • Difficulty opening or closing the mouth

What to Expect

Dr. King and Dr. Miles always begin with a thorough exam to identify the cause of your discomfort. After determining the cause of your symptoms, our office may recommend treatment such as custom nightguards, bite adjustments, prescription medication to reduce inflammation, and/or therapeutic exercises to reduce strain.

Benefits

  • Relief from jaw pain and headaches

  • Restored function and comfort

  • Prevents long-term joint damage
